Patricia Wertheimer

Founder and President

Patricia is a Seattle native and enjoys building businesses that bring value and help others.

As a graduate of Seattle University with a degree in International Business, she lives the values of utilizing education to serve. Patricia currently serves on the Albers School of Business Board of Directors and enjoys mentoring young students and encouraging the pursuit of fulfilling careers. She has over 20 years in the consulting and staffing industry working in sales, project engagement and recruiting.  

After a successful span of 10 years of working in this space, Patricia took the leap and founded Valente. Her inspiration was knowing that she was building a company that ‘does it better.’ It was her dream to create a company that truly cared for all people and supported a mobile work environment.

Valente is now celebrating its 10 year anniversary and excited for more! Patricia lives Valente’s vision which is to inspire greatness in all areas of our lives. Patricia has a great passion for philanthropy, founded the Valente Foundation in 2010 and subsequently, the Valente GIRLS Foundation in 2014. She believes in creating, inspiring and giving. Patricia is married and the mother of two young girls. She loves spending quality time with her family, skiing, paddle boarding, reading, yoga, writing and finding joy in each moment. Throughout the week you can find her in meetings, with her family, working with the Valente GIRLS foundation, at the lake and visualizing of her next adventure.

Julie Flora

Program Director

Julie is a passionate person who believes in the power of positivity. She enjoys providing genuine support to consultants and clients at all times. She maintains a high level of knowledge about the projects at hand so that she can effectively communicate any issues or successes with clients, consultants, partners and the Valente team.

Julie uses her background in clinical counseling to ensure that employees are being heard and feeling positive in work and at life. Some of Julie’s responsibilities include employee reviews, preparing statements of work, meeting with current clients, trouble shooting if any issues arise and checking in with clients and consultants regularly.

Julie is a huge supporter of the work-life balance at Valente and is thrilled by the great people it produces. She spends her winter weekends Skiing, RVing and in the summer she is on the lake jet skiing. She enjoys time with family and friends, exercising and painting landscapes.

Ashley Travis

Manager, Finance 

Ashley Travis manages the accounting for Valente. Her current duties include payroll, invoicing, payables and receivables. Ashley has previously worked as a Legal Assistant mainly focusing on collections and bankruptcy. Ashley has also worked in the insurance industry handling commercial fishing vessel insurance and claims as well as payables and receivables. In addition, she works with government agencies on training and exercise for emergency/disaster preparedness.

Ashley is married and has three daughters. She loves spending time with her family. She enjoys soccer, skiing, cooking, reading and animals. Ashley loves working for Valente and the work/life balance it supports.

 

Françoise Hovivian

Senior Vice President and Managing Partner

Françoise is senior VP and Managing Partner at Valente. She made the leap to the consulting side after a fruitful 11-year career in America. She joined Valente Consulting in 2004 as a Program Manager and went on to become a Director. She has been a senior VP since 2010, driving strategy and vision for our company along with Patricia, creating opportunities for consultants to thrive in great teams and projects. Her role includes partnering with Fortune 1,000 companies and smaller companies too to help these companies achieve the impact they need. She has extensive experience with project characteristics in areas of product development, build, globalization, localization, engineering, user experience, ecommerce, publishing, international marketing and project management.

Work is part of life and should be effortless and joyous. Valente fills her life. So does her passion for journalism, language, yoga, internet blogging, veganism, environment and animals. She maintains a magazine at http://Samarcande.us. She also has a passion for fashion, industrial design, architecture, and for filmmaking. She has directed several short movies and plans to continue exploring the discussion of several themes via this medium.

Vandana Ranchod

Manager, Talent Acquisition

Vandana’s love for recruiting is transparent with both the consultants and hiring managers she works with.
She is always making new connections, whether at the grocery store or at the coffee shop.

She has been praised for her grace under pressure and  natural ability to match the right talent to the right project by having a clear understanding and evaluating the skills necessary.

Besides recruiting, Vandana’s love of front end development and UX took her back to school where she received a certificate in web design and development. She has a keen interest in human computer interaction and loves to stay current and be involved with the design community.

Vandana has had extensive travels to Capetown, South Africa, where she went to school during her teen years.  One of her memorable experiences was visiting Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela stayed during his years in prison.

Vandana currently lives in West Seattle, where she resides close to the Puget Sound and is surrounded by wildlife. She enjoys daily walks with her furry companion Metta. She also has a love of cooking and hopes to one day write a cookbook based on healthy comfort food.

Vandana’s sense of humor and positive encouragement will hopefully put you at ease and help you feel comfortable while she is prepping you for an interview or advising you with your resume. She hopes to provide you with the utmost care and service on your path towards a new job.

Michelle Binkowski

Director, Operations and Human Resources

Michelle Binkowski works behind the scenes at Valente with virtual operations, human resources and special projects. Michelle expressively loves her customers which include our growing team of ROCKSTAR consultants and amazing colleagues on the corporate team. She has a background in HR, Training, Nonprofit Leadership and Student affairs in Higher Education.

When asked about her favorite work experiences, she holds working with Valente as her favorite because of the work culture and the lifestyle afforded to her from what she calls ”amazing opportunity.” Michelle earned an MS Ed in Guidance and Counseling with an emphasis in Agency Administration and a BS in Community Services and Sociology from Northern State University.

She can’t think of a better place to live than in the PNW. Her passions include sewing, crochet, knitting, crafting (she made and sold ‘Sokitume’ sock creatures for 7 years on the side), hugging poodles, walking, jogging, hiking, discovering healthy recipes, blogging and digital photography.

Dennis Newell

Executive Director, Valente GIRLS Foundation  

Dennis has resided in the Seattle area for 35 years. He is a brother, husband, father of two, grand father of four girls and is Executive Director of the Valente GIRLS Foundation. The non-profit organization was founded to inspire young girls to dream big and achieve by providing education and mentorships to help girls discover their power and reach their highest potential.

Following college, he spent over 40 years in sales and marketing including major roles with Shell Oil and a rewarding career with Costco Wholesale at the company’s corporate office.

Dennis’ major passion is helping others, bringing joy and enhancing their quality of life and that desire is reflected in his many years of community service. His current volunteer activities include Rotary Club, the UW Husky Band Foundation Board (which raises funds for instruments and uniforms) and the Department of Defense agency, ESGR. In his Employer Outreach role with ESGR, he presents the Patriot Award which honors and recognizes individuals and employers that provide exceptional support of their employees that serve in the Guard and Reserve. Other involvement includes the Puget Sound Military Vehicle Collectors Club which honors those that have served our country by providing public education and preserving historic military transport.

Jeff Newell

Advisor

Jeff Newell assists Valente with sales and delivery enhancement. He’s been building teams that win and deliver, resulting in happy and loyal customers for over 15 years. Jeff also serves in the United States Army Reserves and he leverages that experience both internally to the organizations he works for and the clients we sell to. Married with 2 kids in Issaquah, Jeff loves coaching youth soccer, playing trombone, running, beer, history, music, Sounders, Huskies and Dodgers.
